2021 Academy
​Monday Nights July 12 - August 16th 
Grades:
 7th & up (As of Fall 2021)
Location: Jane-Sage Cowles Stadium
Check-in: 10 minutes prior to the start of session
Camp Time (Both Days):

Defense 4 – 5pm [max of 10 per defensive slots]
Offense 5-6pm, or 6-7pm, or 7-8pm [max of 6 per time slot]

Cost: $55.00 per session

Time to dust off those cleats! Welcome all University of Minnesota softball fans to our summer defense and offense academies. Do you want to develop your softball skills in a small group with high energy and dynamic drills while have fun doing it? This is an excellent opportunity to learn and refine your skills and work closely with one our University of Minnesota coaches and past student athletes. Each clinic will focus the first session to a defensive skill while finishing with three different times for the offensive portion. The focus of each academy are below:

Academy I – IV · Infield | Attack, Rotation, & Power
Academy V – VI · Catching | Hitting Different Pitches

Refund Policy: In case of a medical emergency or COVID related cancellation, an administration fee will be assessed. A 12 hour notice is recommended to receive a refund (minus the administration fee) and we cannot offer a refund once a camp has started.  Please email minnesotasoftball@gmail.com for any conflicts or if you have any questions.

NCAA Bylaw 13.4.3.1.2.1 states that it is permissible for camps to be advertised towards a particular audience (e.g., elite camp), but advertisements or promotions must indicate that the camps are open to any and all (limited only by number, age, grade level and gender).



Rookie Camp
August 2nd-6th
Grades: 3rd-6th (As of Fall 2021)
Location: Jane Sage Cowles Stadium
Check-in: 30 minutes prior to start of session
Camp Time:
8:30am - 12:00pm
Cost: $225

This interactive kid’s camp is a great way to kick off your summer! All rising softball stars will be
taught the fundamentals in throwing, fielding, catching, hitting, and base running. Gopher
Softball staff members and current/past Gopher softball players will lead each session. Campers
will have the opportunity to receive specific instruction, enjoy fun activities, and the
opportunity to tour the University of Minnesota Athlete’s Village and campus. If you want your
young softball star to learn in a fun-filled and positive environment, then this is the experience
for you.

Summer Elite Prospect Camp 

August 13th-15th

Grades: 7th and up (As of Fall 2021)
Location: Jane Sage Cowles Stadium
Check-in: 30 minutes prior to start of session
Camp Time:
August 13th - Session 1
Pitching and Catching only
2:30 PM - 5:00 PM
August 14th Session 2
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
August 15th Session 3
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Cost:
Session 1: $125
Session 2&3: $340

The University of Minnesota softball coaching staff has put on another top-tier Elite Prospect Camp. The coaching staff have, all together, mentored 22 NFCA All Region Players, 1 USA National Team player, 1 NCAA Batting Average Leader, 2 professional softball players, 1 Canadian National Team member and 8 All Americans. They proceed to compete in the top level of NCAA Division 1 softball and continue to be ranked Top 10 in all areas of the game (offense, pitching, and defense). Come learn from the staff and players at Minnesota, who are long known for their specific skill set and teaching prowess. What better way to start the summer than to learn from best to be your best!
            Session 1: Pitching & Catching
            Session 2 will be infield outfield instruction along with offense
            Session 3 will be learning and applying with competitive live play
